More to follow from MHA

Have received a further response from the Ministry of Home Affairs. It seems the statement made by the Ministry of External Affairs that the MHA has no information on the 1971 CIA spy case is not the last word. The latest response from the MHA suggests that they will come up with a final response.

Internal Security Division's Legal Cell has informed that the "subject matter does not pertain to the Legal Cell" and they have "no information to offer." But for good measure, they have requested to "relocate the request to concerned section". This should mean that the concerned section will get back to me soon.

One wonders whoever in the first place referred the matter to the Legal Cell of the Internal Security Division, which takes inputs from the Intelligence Bureau. Counter-intelligence is IB's domain, as we all know.

Anyhow, let's wait for the next response.
